The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands has announced its inclusion in Fodor’s Finest 2027, the travel publisher’s selection of 50 hotels worldwide. The property appears in the publisher’s Asia, Australia and Pacific selection.

Fodor’s describes the 2027 selection as a narrower collection of exceptional properties. The annual list is an editorial selection rather than a hotel star classification.

Ritz-Carlton Maldives highlights island service

The resort’s announcement places its beach and overwater villas, dedicated island butler service and dining offer at the centre of the guest experience. Its Aris Meeha butlers are a distinctive element of the property’s service model.

The hotel is located in North Malé Atoll. Its current accommodation offer combines water-facing villas with private pools and outdoor living areas, connecting the architecture and service proposition with the surrounding lagoon and beaches.

The wider resort includes seven restaurants and bars across Culinary Island, Grand Sunset Beach and Fari Marina Village. These settings give guests access to different dining environments within the Fari Islands destination.

Accommodation beyond the standard villa

Marriott’s luxury accommodation information describes a range of larger options alongside the resort’s beach and overwater villas. The Ritz-Carlton Estate comprises three pavilions with up to four bedrooms, living and dining space, a kitchen and a private outdoor area.

The estate’s offer includes an island butler and personal chef. Two-bedroom beach and overwater villas provide additional options for guests travelling together, with private pools and separate living space.

Wellness and the marine setting

The overwater Ritz-Carlton Spa is designed as a ring-shaped structure above the lagoon. The hotel lists nine treatment rooms, including a spa suite, together with a salon and boutique.

The property also promotes a Deep Blue wellness programme, connecting visiting specialists and daily activities with its waterside setting.

The resort’s environmental activities include coral restoration experiences and educational encounters with naturalists. Its Visiting Hero programme brings scientists, marine biologists, conservationists and other specialists into guest and community activities.

A recognition for the operating team

In its official announcement, the resort thanked the people contributing to its guest experience. Inclusion in the 2027 selection adds international editorial recognition to their work.
