Salvatore Marmolaro joins 753 Hospitality as operations director
The former Hines Italy executive brings hotel and student accommodation experience to an Italian operator developing a portfolio of independently styled, internationally branded hotels.

Salvatore Marmolaro has joined 753 Hospitality as director of operations, moving from Hines Italy after more than five years working on its aparto student accommodation portfolio. The appointment brings experience across conventional hotels, hybrid hospitality and managed residential accommodation into the Italian hotel investment and management business.
753 Hospitality confirmed the appointment in a company announcement. A separate effective date and detailed allocation of properties have not been disclosed in the material reviewed.
Salvatore Marmolaro brings experience across operating models
The company highlighted Marmolaro’s background in operations and asset performance, together with his approach to managing people. Those areas are closely connected in a business that acquires and redevelops hotels before taking responsibility for their ongoing operation.
The announcement establishes his appointment as director of operations, but does not set out reporting lines, numerical performance targets or a new organisation structure. It should therefore be read as a leadership appointment rather than evidence of a wider restructuring.
From hotel management to student accommodation
Marmolaro’s earlier experience includes hotel operations with NH Hotel Group, now within Minor Hotels, in Milan and Rome. He subsequently worked at The Social Hub, contributing to its Italian launch and gaining experience of a model that brings accommodation together with work and social spaces.
At Hines Italy, he helped introduce and develop aparto and contributed to six property openings, including aparto Milan Durando and aparto Florence Manifattura, according to 753 Hospitality.
La Tribune de l’Hôtellerie’s career report identifies his most recent Hines position as director of operations, PBSA Italy. PBSA means purpose-built student accommodation. The report traces his progression from cluster general manager in May 2021 to PBSA operations manager in January 2024 and the director role in September 2025.
A hotel portfolio built around individual identity
753 Hospitality is led by founder and chief executive Nevius Glussi and backed by funds advised by Alchemy Special Opportunities. Its stated model is to acquire, redevelop and operate hotels in Italy while retaining a distinct identity for each property and connecting it to an international brand.
The company’s current portfolio page lists Villa Ermellina Siena, a 117-room Tribute Portfolio hotel open since July 2025. It also lists a 122-room Lake Garda resort planned for late April 2027 and a 144-room Lecco project planned for 2028, both affiliated with Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio.
Those future dates remain the company’s published plans. They are not completed openings or a separately confirmed assignment of every property to Marmolaro.
Connecting investment plans with everyday service
For hotel operators, the practical interest in this appointment is the combination of opening experience and responsibility for established operations. A redeveloped building needs more than a new design or brand agreement: its teams must turn the intended positioning into routines guests can recognise.
Marmolaro’s career provides exposure to different lengths of stay, service patterns and property formats. Applying that experience without losing each hotel’s individual identity will be an important operational consideration as 753 Hospitality develops its portfolio.
