Radisson Hotel Group has outlined five Moroccan hotel projects representing 654 rooms and serviced apartments, with developments in Casablanca, Rabat and Marrakech contributing to its target of 30 hotels in the country by 2030. The update brings together city, conference, extended-stay and resort formats rather than a single-brand expansion.

Morocco, 28 October 2026. Le Matin reported the update on 27 October. Several projects were previously disclosed, including three in Radisson’s own April announcement, so the latest statement should be read as a view of the group’s 2026 development programme rather than five hotels opening now.

Radisson Morocco projects span three destinations

The five named projects account for the reported 654 keys as follows:

  • Radisson RED Casablanca Anfa: 70 rooms, including eight suites, with an opening planned for the first quarter of 2028. The project extends Radisson’s relationship with ALH Hospitality.
  • Radisson Blu Hotel & Conference Center, Casablanca Bouskoura: 119 rooms, including eight suites. Planned facilities include a conference centre, rooftop restaurant, spa and outdoor pool.
  • Radisson Hotel & Apartments Rabat Technopolis: 140 hotel rooms and 56 serviced apartments across two buildings in the Technopolis innovation park.
  • Radisson Blu Resort Marrakech Ben Akil: 80 bungalow-style units on a 17-hectare estate near Royal Golf Marrakech, with an opening targeted for early 2028.
  • Semiramis Hotel Marrakech: 189 rooms, with a reopening under Radisson Individuals planned for late 2028 following a full renovation.

The Bouskoura, Technopolis and Ben Akil schemes already featured in Radisson’s 2 April Africa development announcement. That release identified Morocco, South Africa and Nigeria as priority markets and described a strategy combining city hotels, leisure destinations and conversions.

Different demand requires different operating models

At Technopolis, the combination of hotel rooms and serviced apartments is designed around the businesses, universities and research centres in the surrounding district. Radisson’s April release described four dining venues, a pool and meetings facilities in the hotel component. Longer stays and short corporate visits will therefore sit within the same development, but with distinct accommodation products.

Bouskoura has a more explicit events proposition. Médias24 reports a 2,052-square-metre conference centre, giving the property a business mix that will depend on event sales and delivery as well as bedrooms. The announced plans do not provide a confirmed opening date for either Bouskoura or Technopolis.

In Marrakech, the two projects take different development routes. Ben Akil is planned as a low-rise resort, while Semiramis involves renovation of an existing hotel and affiliation with Radisson Individuals. Treating both simply as additional room supply would miss the different design, construction and operating work each requires.

An existing Casablanca partnership provides context

Radisson and ALH already have an operating reference in Casablanca. Radisson Hotel Casablanca Gauthier La Citadelle opened in April 2024 with 133 rooms, including nine suites, according to the group’s opening announcement. Owned and operated by subsidiaries of Al Hoceinia Holding, it established the Radisson brand in Morocco alongside the group’s other brands.

The Anfa development builds on that relationship. Its proposed lifestyle positioning adds another format to a programme that also includes conventional business accommodation and longer-stay apartments. For hotel leaders, the relevant execution challenge is matching sales, service and staffing plans to each format, rather than assuming one operating template can serve all five.

Targets remain distinct from operating capacity

The October update puts Radisson’s Moroccan portfolio at 17 properties, comprising 10 operating hotels and seven under development. The ambition to reach 30 by 2030 is a development target, not a statement that those hotels are already trading.

A separate dual-brand Casablanca Finance City scheme is also mentioned in the reporting. It is not included in the five-property, 654-key calculation above. Keeping that distinction clear avoids double-counting projects as the wider pipeline progresses.
