Wyndham launches Dolce Nova to enter upper-upscale lifestyle hotel segment
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has launched Dolce Nova, a new upper-upscale lifestyle extension of Dolce focused on design, wellness and experience-led travel.

The new brand extends Dolce Hotels & Resorts by Wyndham into lifestyle hospitality, combining European-inspired design, wellness, social spaces and locally connected experiences.
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has launched Dolce Nova, a new upper-upscale lifestyle brand designed as an extension of Dolce Hotels & Resorts by Wyndham. The concept marks Wyndham’s move into a segment increasingly shaped by experience-led travel, wellness and stronger connections with local destinations.
Inspired by the Italian expression il dolce far niente, meaning “the sweetness of doing nothing”, Dolce Nova is built around the idea of giving travellers more time and space to slow down, connect and experience a destination at a more deliberate pace.
The proposition represents a notable shift from the traditional positioning of Dolce Hotels & Resorts.
Dolce has historically been associated with meetings, conferences, events and destination resorts. Dolce Nova takes that heritage into a more leisure-focused direction, with an emphasis on design, wellbeing, food and beverage, social interaction and a strong sense of place.
The concept is being developed around spaces including lounges, cafés, bars and restaurants, wellness and fitness facilities, guestrooms and suites, and co-working and social areas that can host curated programming and events.
For Wyndham, the new brand provides another route into the upper-upscale end of hospitality without creating an entirely separate platform.
Dimitris Manikis, President EMEA at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, described Dolce Nova as a natural extension of the Dolce family, combining European-inspired design, social experiences and a stronger connection to location with Wyndham’s distribution, technology and commercial infrastructure.
The company is already in discussions over potential Dolce Nova properties across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with the brand structured to accommodate both hotel conversions and new-build developments.
That flexibility could be important to its growth.
Lifestyle brands have become an increasingly popular tool for hotel groups seeking to reposition existing assets. Rather than relying solely on purpose-built hotels, conversion-friendly concepts can allow owners to move properties into higher-value segments while giving global operators a faster route to expansion.
Dolce Nova will also plug into Wyndham’s wider commercial platform, including its distribution systems, hospitality technology and Wyndham Rewards, which has more than 126 million enrolled members globally.
The launch also illustrates how Wyndham is broadening a portfolio historically known for its scale in economy and midscale hospitality.
The company operates approximately 8,400 hotels across around 100 countries and has a portfolio of 25 brands. Dolce Nova gives the group another proposition at the upper end of the market as it looks to capture more lifestyle and experiential demand.
It also has strategic significance within Wyndham itself.
Dolce Nova is the first brand concept to originate from Wyndham’s EMEA team, according to Manikis. Wyndham has historically expanded much of its brand portfolio through acquisitions, making the development of an internally created lifestyle extension a different approach for the company.
That matters because the lifestyle segment increasingly depends on differentiation rather than simply adding another flag to a hotel portfolio.
Guests choosing lifestyle hotels typically expect a stronger identity around design, food, neighbourhood, programming and social spaces. Dolce Nova will therefore need to establish enough consistency to function as a global brand while allowing individual properties to feel connected to their locations.
The distinction between Dolce and Dolce Nova provides Wyndham with a relatively clear starting point.
The existing Dolce brand can continue to focus on meetings, events and resort-led hospitality, while Dolce Nova targets a more leisure-oriented guest looking for design, wellbeing and experiences.
For owners, Wyndham is positioning that combination as a way to enter the upper-upscale lifestyle market while retaining access to the scale of a major global hotel company.
For guests, the proposition is deliberately simpler: fewer reasons to rush through a stay and more reasons to spend time within the hotel and its surrounding destination.
The first Dolce Nova properties will ultimately determine how distinctly that philosophy translates from brand language into an actual hotel experience.
