TARC has appointed Mridul Srivastava as Chief Human Resources Officer, strengthening its people leadership as the luxury real estate developer continues to scale its operations across Delhi and the National Capital Region.

Srivastava’s appointment became effective on 9 July 2026. In his new role, he will lead TARC’s human resources strategy, with responsibility for talent development, leadership initiatives and organisational transformation as the company continues to build its business operations and leadership capability.

The appointment comes as TARC also strengthens its senior management bench with the appointment of Ankush Kaul as Chief Business Officer and Ajay Gupta as Chief Development Officer. Together, the moves point to a broader leadership reset at a time when the company is expanding its luxury residential and commercial real estate platform.

For TARC, the Chief Human Resources Officer role carries particular importance because the company operates in a segment where execution quality, customer experience, project delivery and organisational discipline are closely linked. Luxury real estate is often discussed through design, amenities and location, but the ability to deliver that promise depends heavily on teams, leadership systems, governance and cross-functional coordination.

Srivastava brings nearly two decades of human resources experience across real estate, financial services, telecom, technology and consulting. Before joining TARC, he co-founded Chieftain Search & Advisory, where he served as Co-Founder and Principal Consultant. The advisory background gives him exposure to leadership search, organisational capability and talent strategy beyond a single corporate environment.

Prior to that, Srivastava spent almost seven years as Chief People Officer at Spectra and VNL, formerly Systema Shyam. During that period, he led enterprise-wide people strategy through business restructuring and governance transformation. His work included organisational restructuring, redesigning sales capability frameworks, implementing AI-enabled HR technology platforms, introducing automation across HR operations, and building leadership succession and executive compensation programmes.

That combination of restructuring, technology adoption and leadership development experience is relevant to TARC’s current stage. Real estate companies moving from project-led growth to more institutional operating models need people functions that can support scale without losing accountability. This requires stronger leadership pipelines, clearer performance systems, better workforce planning and HR processes that are built for complexity rather than administration alone.

Earlier in his career, Srivastava served as Head of Human Resources at Hero FinCorp, where he supported the company’s rapid expansion as it scaled its workforce from two employees to more than 7,000. In that role, he helped develop performance management, leadership development, workforce analytics and executive compensation frameworks aligned with business growth.

His previous experience also includes leadership roles at Religare, where he led organisation development and enterprise learning initiatives for a workforce of more than 10,000 employees. He also worked with DLF Homes Developers, handling HR generalist responsibilities across talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement and manpower planning.

The DLF experience gives Srivastava direct exposure to real estate HR, while his work across financial services and telecom adds experience in regulated, fast-scaling and process-heavy environments. For a developer such as TARC, that cross-sector grounding can be valuable because real estate growth increasingly demands both entrepreneurial speed and institutional discipline.

TARC Limited is focused on premium residential and commercial projects in Delhi NCR, with a stated emphasis on design, quality, sustainability and customer experience. The company’s current and marketed developments include TARC Kailasa, TARC Tripundra and TARC Ishva, placing it within India’s growing luxury housing market.

The company has also reported stronger business momentum. TARC recently reported ₹602 crore in pre-sales and ₹305 crore in collections for the first quarter of FY27, reflecting continued activity in its luxury residential portfolio. Earlier, the company reported FY26 consolidated revenue of ₹671.78 crore and profit after tax of ₹19.03 crore.

That growth context makes the CHRO appointment more than a functional move. As TARC expands, the people agenda will need to support project execution, sales capability, customer-facing service, leadership depth, governance and employee engagement. In a high-value real estate business, talent decisions can influence not only internal culture, but also delivery timelines, buyer experience and owner confidence.

The appointment also reflects a broader shift across Indian real estate. As developers professionalise, list, raise capital and compete in premium segments, HR leadership is becoming more strategic. Companies need people leaders who can build systems for scale, manage succession, strengthen capability, support digital adoption and align culture with long-term performance.

Srivastava’s education includes an Executive Diploma in Human Resources from XLRI Jamshedpur and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from IMS Ghaziabad.

For TARC, his appointment brings in a people leader with experience across restructuring, high-growth environments, HR technology, learning, performance systems and real estate. For Srivastava, the role offers a mandate to shape the people architecture of a luxury real estate developer at a time when growth, governance and execution discipline are becoming more closely connected.

As TARC continues to build its premium development pipeline, the strength of its HR function will be central to how effectively the company scales. Srivastava’s task will be to ensure that talent, leadership and organisational systems keep pace with the ambition of the business.
