Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield Hotel and Convention Center has appointed Trina Mukherjee as Multi-Property Director of Marketing, a role that extends her leadership beyond the flagship property to Marriott Executive Apartments Bengaluru UB City and The Artiste Kochi, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel. In her new position, she will direct marketing strategy, brand communications, digital initiatives and public relations across all three properties within the Marriott International portfolio.
Mukherjee brings more than 13 years of experience in hospitality marketing, brand management and communications, with a career shaped by stints across some of the country’s most prominent luxury and upper-upscale properties. Her appointment reflects the growing importance of integrated, multi-property marketing leadership as hotel groups seek coherent brand narratives across distinct assets serving varied guest profiles.
Most recently, Mukherjee served as Director of Marketing and Communications at OZEN Mansion Kolkata, operated by Atmosphere Core, where she led the property’s pre-opening marketing strategy and drove early brand positioning in one of India’s most competitive hospitality markets. Prior to that, she held the role of Director of Marketing at Conrad Bengaluru – part of Hilton’s luxury portfolio – where she oversaw brand communications, media and public relations for the property.
Her earlier tenure at Marriott International spanned several years and multiple geographies. As Cluster Senior Marketing Manager, she held oversight across JW Marriott Kolkata, Courtyard by Marriott Siliguri, Fairfield by Marriott Kolkata, Courtyard by Marriott Mumbai International Airport, Aloft Cessna Business Park Kolkata and Courtyard by Marriott Ahmedabad – a span of responsibility that gave her a strong foundation in multi-property campaign execution, market differentiation and brand architecture.
Mukherjee also contributed to two high-profile pre-opening task forces during this period: JW Marriott Bengaluru and JW Marriott Singapore South Beach. This experience in building brand identity and audience engagement ahead of a hotel’s launch has become a defining thread in her professional profile, one that proved directly relevant to her work at OZEN Mansion Kolkata.
She began her professional career at Accenture Pvt. Ltd. in Bengaluru, where she worked in corporate communications before making the transition to hospitality – a move that would ultimately see her establish herself as one of the sector’s more recognised marketing voices.
Industry acknowledgement of her work has come through two notable distinctions. She was named in Hotelier Web’s Power 25 Marketing and PR Talents in 2021 and received the Best National PR Person of the Year award at the IHA BW Hotelier Awards in 2019. Mukherjee holds a Master of Communication Studies from the University of Leeds and an undergraduate degree from Loreto College, Calcutta University.
Commenting on the appointment, Elton Hurtis, General Manager of Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield Hotel and Convention Center, said her combination of hospitality marketing depth and multi-property perspective would be central to strengthening Sheraton’s brand presence while driving impactful campaigns across the wider portfolio.
Speaking on her new role, Mukherjee noted that each of the three properties represents a distinct brand identity and guest experience, and outlined her intention to build strategies that celebrate that individuality while reinforcing overall brand cohesion. Her stated priorities include meaningful guest engagement, digital growth and integrated marketing programmes designed to support the long-term trajectory of the portfolio.
Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield Hotel and Convention Center is a five-star property situated within the Prestige Shantiniketan integrated township in Whitefield, one of Bengaluru’s primary commercial and technology corridors. The property features 360 guest rooms including 39 suites, alongside a convention centre spanning more than 64,000 square feet of pillar-free event space – with capacity for over 2,000 guests – which positions it as one of the city’s leading destinations for large-scale meetings, conferences and events. Its location near the International Tech Park Bengaluru makes it a natural anchor for corporate travel demand across the region.
The appointment adds experienced multi-property marketing leadership at a moment when the Sheraton brand is focused on strengthening its positioning in India’s upper-upscale segment, while the extended remit across Marriott Executive Apartments Bengaluru UB City and The Artiste Kochi reflects a deliberate move to consolidate marketing functions across complementary but distinctly positioned properties.
