Stonebridge has appointed Kieran Cain as vice president of marketing and communications, giving the hospitality marketing executive responsibility for its brand strategy, corporate communications and property-level commercial marketing.

The Denver-based hotel management company says his remit is to strengthen its market presence while supporting revenue growth and long-term value for owners. The appointment was reported on 20 October and is featured on Stonebridge’s official news page.

Kieran Cain brings digital commerce and resort experience

Cain joins from AZDS Interactive Group, where he was chief strategy officer. His responsibilities there covered strategic planning, website development, digital marketing, analytics and online booking technology for a client portfolio of more than 700 luxury hotels and resorts worldwide, according to the appointment announcement.

He previously spent more than a decade at Vail Resorts, ultimately serving as senior vice president of marketing. His work spanned strategic planning, branding and performance marketing for North American destinations, with commercial responsibilities across accommodation, lift tickets, restaurants, retail and other resort businesses, including RockResorts.

That background combines hotel demand generation with the wider range of purchases guests make during a resort stay. Stonebridge’s leadership biography also highlights his experience in destination marketing and tourism governance, including service on the Colorado Tourism Office board and as chair of its marketing committee.

Earlier roles included marketing leadership positions with Kroenke Sports & Entertainment and Anschutz Entertainment Group. Across those businesses, his experience encompassed advertising, partnerships, sales, guest experience and event marketing.

Working within an integrated commercial team

Cain’s appointment sits within Stonebridge’s established commercial services structure, which brings sales, revenue management, marketing and business intelligence together. The company describes the function as a coordinated approach to improving hotel revenue and the amount that flows through to operating performance.

Its commercial services offering includes brand positioning, public relations, content, social media, email marketing, partnerships and analytics. It also combines central sales support with property-level teams and uses shared lead generation and cross-selling across its hotels.

For owners and hotel leaders, this gives the new role an operational connection beyond corporate visibility: marketing activity is intended to work alongside pricing, sales and performance data. Cain will be responsible for the marketing and communications contribution to that wider effort, rather than taking charge of all commercial disciplines.

Rob Smith, Stonebridge’s president and chief executive, said in the announcement that Cain’s experience in data-led demand generation, brand positioning and team leadership would strengthen the company’s commercial services platform.
