Pan Pacific Hotels Group plans ten new-build and major renovation projects across Southeast Asia in 2027, combining expansion with reinvestment in existing hotels under its Version 2 transformation strategy.

The Singapore-based company said in its 30 September announcement that more than half its portfolio had been newly built, redesigned or substantially renovated since 2020.

Ten projects across seven markets

The programme covers hotels and serviced accommodation in Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore:

  • Cambodia: Pan Pacific Phnom Penh and PARKROYAL Siem Reap.
  • Thailand: Siam Pan Pacific Bangkok and Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Thonglor, Bangkok.
  • Vietnam: PARKROYAL Hanoi.
  • The Philippines: PARKROYAL Serviced Suites Manila Bay.
  • Indonesia: PARKROYAL Jakarta.
  • Malaysia: PARKROYAL Serviced Suites Kuala Lumpur and PARKROYAL Gurney Bay Penang.
  • Singapore: PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering.

The Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Pickering projects involve the transformation of existing properties. The programme should therefore not be read as a commitment to ten new hotel openings.

The announcement does not disclose an overall investment figure, a combined room count or detailed financing arrangements for individual projects.

Reinvestment extends beyond guestrooms

Pickering provides an example of the operational changes accompanying the group’s property investment. In February 2026, PPHG reported that the hotel’s ballroom and meeting venues had already been renovated and repositioned, with sustainability and technology incorporated into the event offering.

The same update described ten redesigned job roles, trials of automated luggage-delivery vehicles and a project bringing guest and operational data together to support workforce planning and more personalised service. These were reported initiatives at Pickering, rather than commitments for every property in the 2027 programme.

PPHG also launched its Every Meeting Matters campaign in March, following investment in meetings and events facilities. Its offering includes hybrid-event technology, locally sourced food and wellness breaks, giving corporate planners another reason to assess renovated properties alongside new supply.

For hotel owners and operators, the programme’s significance lies in that combination: adding destinations while updating the product and operating model of existing assets. Delivery schedules and property-level performance will determine how effectively those investments translate into commercial returns.
