Vodafone Idea Limited has promoted Ayushi Dixit to General Manager – Talent, Capability and Culture, with additional responsibility for diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and people experience across the Delhi and Rajasthan circles.
Dixit moves into this expanded role from her previous position as Assistant General Manager – HR Business Partner, where she positioned HR as a strategic business lever rather than a support function. In her new role, she will lead the development of scalable talent, capability, culture and DEI systems aligned to business performance objectives.
With expertise spanning talent management, organisation development, HR business partnering, capability building, employee experience, leadership development and predictive people analytics, Dixit brings a data-driven approach to inclusion and culture initiatives. She currently leads talent strategy and culture transformation for more than 450 employees across key business verticals in the Delhi and Rajasthan regions.
Dixit holds an MBA in Human Resources from Christ University, Bangalore, and has completed executive education programmes at Harvard University, the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and IIM Visakhapatnam. She is a certified Jombay Young HR Leader 30 under 30, a recognition programme that identifies emerging talent in the HR profession.
Prior to joining Vodafone Idea, Dixit built her career across several prominent organisations. She worked at PhonePe, the digital payments platform, and Firstsource, the business process management company. Her earlier experience includes roles at Jagran Solutions, a unit of Jagran Prakashan Limited, as well as with fashion retailers Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein.
In her current position, Dixit designs and delivers leadership and capability development programmes aimed at strengthening succession pipelines, improving productivity, enhancing performance outcomes and reducing attrition. Her approach emphasises insight-driven and people-first HR innovation with measurable outcomes.
Company context
Vodafone Idea Limited is one of India’s largest telecommunications companies, formed through the 2018 merger of Vodafone India and Idea Cellular. The company operates under the Vi brand and provides voice and data services across 2G, 3G, 4G and now 5G platforms. As of 2025, the company serves approximately 128 million subscribers, making it the third-largest mobile telecommunications network in India.
The company is currently executing a significant network transformation programme. In 2024, Vodafone Idea added more than 46,000 new sites and increased capacity at over 58,000 locations. The rollout forms part of a three-year investment plan developed in partnership with Nokia, Ericsson and Samsung, with equipment deals valued at $3.6 billion.
The appointment comes as Vodafone Idea focuses on organisational transformation alongside its network expansion. The company’s 4G network now covers 84 per cent of India’s population, up from 77 per cent in March 2024, while the 5G rollout continues across 17 priority telecom circles.
Vodafone Idea is a joint venture between the Aditya Birla Group and Vodafone Group, with the Government of India holding a 48.99 per cent stake following recent equity conversions. The company is headquartered in Mumbai and employs approximately 37,000 people across its operations.
