hyde seek hotel relaunch

Historic Corus Hotel Hyde Park to reopen as Hyde & Seek under Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio in autumn 2026

Immersive Hospitality Management has embarked on a £42 million redevelopment of its flagship London property, with the Corus Hotel Hyde Park closing in September 2025 for a major renovation. The property will relaunch in late autumn 2026 as Hyde & Seek, joining Marriott Bonvoy’s Tribute Portfolio.

Located at 1 Lancaster Gate, the project marks a significant chapter for the hospitality group as it transforms one of London’s most prominent freehold assets into an upscale bohemian destination.

Design inspired by 1960s counterculture

The 309 guestrooms will be meticulously designed to reflect the bohemian lifestyle of the area during the 1960s and 1970s, drawing influence from fashion designers Zandra Rhodes and Ossie Clark, alongside artists David Hockney and David Hicks. Heritage pieces will sit amongst unexpected, bold designs, with boho wall coverings beside mahogany and marble desks.

Interior designer Goddard Littlefair and architect Unwin Jones Partnership have curated the design, paying tribute to the hotel’s prime location beside Hyde Park. Greens and blues will be used throughout to bring a sense of the outside into the property, whilst elegant symmetry and ornamentation reference styles of the past, honouring the building’s Victorian heritage.

Moroccan influences will feature throughout, including Tadelakt plaster, Zellige-style tiles, marbled ceilings and ornate lanterns that filter light through delicate patterns. Combinations of lilacs and greens, navys and pinks add a touch of the unexpected, coexisting with bold textures and contrasting abstract patterns within the flooring, artwork and furniture.

New amenities for guests and locals

Hyde & Seek will feature an all-day food and drink concept through various outlets, from afternoon tea and lavish dinners to vibrant cocktails and working lunches. The refurbished hotel will also feature a light-filled, glass-roofed courtyard offering flexible co-working spaces, as well as a state-of-the-art gym and studio open to both guests and the public.

The hotel itself dates back to the 1800s and occupies a listed Georgian mansion. Originally a row of Victorian townhouses, the white stucco façade recalls this once aristocratic neighbourhood, which became a hideaway for bohemian characters.

Strategic partnership with Marriott

Tribute Portfolio is a family of independent boutique hotels bound by their spirit and heart for connecting people and places, with 160 hotels in over 35 countries and territories.

Andrew Khoo, chairman of Immersive Hospitality Management, said: “Hyde & Seek is set to become a unique and eccentric addition to the London hotel scene. This project boldly pushes the boundaries of expectation, rejecting the dull and embracing the charm of the location”.

He added: “We are incredibly proud of this transformation and grateful to the incredible team of partners helping to bring this vision to life. We look forward to working with Marriott International to meet the diverse and ever-changing needs of our guests, and we can’t wait to unveil Hyde & Seek next year”.
