Studio City Macau has secured six honours across the 2026 World Luxury Hotel Awards and World Luxury Spa Awards, with recognition for Epic Tower, Star Tower and the two properties’ spa facilities.

The results span country, regional and continental categories. They recognise specific accommodation and wellness offers within the resort, rather than naming Studio City the overall global hotel or spa winner.

Studio City Macau takes four hotel honours

Epic Tower received the country-level award for Luxury Family Resort in China and the regional award for Luxury All Suite Hotel in East Asia. Star Tower received the country-level Luxury All Suite Hotel award in China and the regional Luxury Family Resort award for East Asia.

The distinction between the winning levels is important. The organiser lists both properties under China, East Asia and Asia, but the award’s designated level determines the geographical scope of each result. Neither hotel’s listed wins in these categories is a global award.

The 2026 programme held ceremonies on 17 October at JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel and on 24 October at Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok.

Wet-area awards for both spas

The Spa at Epic Tower won Best Luxury Wet Area at continental level for Asia. Zensa Spa took the same category at regional level for East Asia, bringing the combined hotel and spa tally to six.

Zensa Spa is located on the third level of Star Tower. Its published facilities include 13 treatment rooms, vitality pools, saunas, steam rooms and snow rooms. The award therefore concerns a particular part of its wellness offer, not a claim that every treatment or service has been independently ranked above all competitors.

Epic Tower’s property profile lists 338 suites alongside a pool, fitness centre, sauna and spa facilities. That breadth helps explain why accommodation and wellness can be marketed together, while remaining separate experiences that guests may value differently.

What the recognition measures

The World Luxury Hotel Awards describes its programme as publicly voted. Participating properties compete within categories at country, regional, continental and global levels, with the organiser identifying service delivery, luxury and presentation as judging criteria.

These results should not be confused with Forbes Travel Guide’s star ratings or the separate Luxury Lifestyle Awards. Keeping the scheme, category, year and winning level together gives travellers and industry partners a more precise account of the recognition.

A broader resort proposition

For hotel commercial teams, the combination offers distinct stories for different audiences: suite accommodation for advisers matching room requirements, family-resort recognition for leisure positioning and wet-area awards for wellness-led itineraries. The results alone do not establish higher occupancy, stronger rates or improved profitability.

WINC Wire’s coverage of SJM Resorts and MasterChef Asia in Macau provides another example of hospitality businesses building visitor experiences beyond the guest room. Elsewhere in the region, Daniel Boulud’s Hong Kong restaurant plans illustrate the role of dining in a luxury hotel’s wider offer.

For Studio City, the immediate news is a set of six category-specific honours across its hotels and spas. Their commercial value will depend on how clearly the resort communicates those distinctions and how consistently it delivers the experiences behind them.
