NH Hotel Tashkent is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2027 following a franchise agreement between Minor Hotels and EASYRENT PE for a 151-room property.

Madrid, 5 November 2026: Minor Hotels announced the agreement after a signing ceremony in Tashkent. The property is being refurbished and repositioned for the NH Hotels & Resorts brand.

NH Hotel Tashkent joins the brand’s expansion

Minor identifies the project as NH’s debut in Uzbekistan and Central Asia. Planned facilities include an all-day restaurant, a gym and meeting space. The company describes franchising as a route to new markets that combines local operation with its distribution and brand support.

What the announcement means for the market

The Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan’s account, published on 4 November, confirms the signing ceremony and the same room total. It reports that 32 international hotel brands are represented across 52 properties in the country.

Deputy chairman Sandjar Tadjiyev linked international brands with access to “major booking platforms, corporate client networks and international sales channels”. The committee presents business travel and meetings as important parts of the project’s rationale, alongside the broader aim of developing tourism services.

Those are the authorities’ expectations. Neither announcement provides a forecast of room rates, occupancy or the number of jobs the hotel will create. The presence of a global flag does not, on its own, demonstrate the level of demand that a particular property will capture.

Turning distribution into repeat business

From an operating perspective, a franchise agreement creates a connection between a local business and an international customer promise. Reservation accuracy, service training and clear responsibility for guest problems become central to making that connection work.

For corporate travel buyers, the practical questions concern the finished product: the readiness of rooms, meeting capacity, airport transfers and dependable service. A signing announcement establishes the intended direction, but buyers still need confirmed operating information before relying on a new hotel for an event.

Opening timetable takes precedence over older listings

The latest dated company release specifies the first quarter of 2027. An NH coming-soon page still refers to a 2026 opening; this report follows the newer announcement. The government describes the timing more broadly as early 2027.

The two announcements also use different names for room categories. Until the final inventory is published, the confirmed total is more useful than treating those category descriptions as a settled room mix. No exact opening day or franchise value has been disclosed.
