Capella Hotel Group has announced plans for a 115-key hotel on Dubai Peninsula, with an opening targeted for 2030. Developed by H&H and designed by Denniston, Capella Dubai will add a luxury property to the emerging Jumeirah waterfront destination.

The plans are set out in Capella Hotel Group’s announcement dated 29 October 2026.

Suites, dining and leisure facilities

The accommodation plans include private-pool suites and a 600-square-metre Capella Suite. Five social and dining venues are proposed, alongside a rooftop pool stretching almost 70 metres, a separate family pool and a children’s club.

A waterfront hotel built around personalised stays

The group’s announcement places its Capella Culturists at the centre of the guest experience. The team will develop individual itineraries and introduce visitors to Dubai’s neighbourhoods, heritage and contemporary culture.

Wellness, events and waterfront design

Wellness facilities will include Auriga Spa, fitness and movement spaces, a hammam and hydrotherapy. The events offering is planned to include a ballroom, two meeting rooms, a VIP Majlis and an outdoor lawn.

According to The National’s project report, the nine-storey property will open onto a private beach. Its design references Dubai’s maritime history, with a 25-metre-high arrival courtyard and a palette drawing on sandstone, coral stone and palm materials. Gardens, courtyards and terraces are intended to keep the beachfront setting visible throughout the building.

Part of a wider luxury destination

Dubai Peninsula is also set to accommodate Aman and Rosewood properties, placing Capella within a cluster of international luxury brands. The wider development combines hotels with residences, waterfront dining and a marina.

For hotel operators, the proposed mix illustrates how a smaller room inventory can sit alongside substantial dining, wellness and events facilities. Capella’s positioning emphasises service and cultural programming as well as the physical product. Delivery remains a future development milestone, with 2030 the announced opening target.
