Aman has appointed Eleonora Persico as Director of Human Resources, strengthening its people leadership capability as the luxury hospitality and lifestyle group continues to expand across hotels, resorts, residences and experiences.
Based in Alta Badia, Italy, Persico joins Aman with more than two decades of experience spanning human resources, hospitality, executive leadership support, administration, operations management, workplace management and organisational development. Her appointment places her in a people leadership role within one of luxury hospitality’s most distinctive brands, where service culture, discretion and localised guest experience are central to the operating model.
Prior to joining Aman, Persico served as Cluster HR Manager SHG Milan at Sunset Hospitality Group, where she supported human resources initiatives across the group’s Milan operations. The role gave her exposure to a hospitality environment shaped by lifestyle positioning, multi-site operations and the workforce requirements of guest-facing businesses.
Before that, Persico spent nearly seven years with Belmond, holding a series of increasingly senior responsibilities across human resources, administration, governance and executive support functions. During her time with the company, she served as Area Administrative Manager Italy and HR Manager, Belmond Italia SpA, overseeing administrative and HR activities supporting the company’s Italian operations.
She also held responsibilities as HR Manager, HR Coordinator, Italian Internal Auditor ISO 45001, Office Manager and Personal Assistant to the Senior Vice President EMEA Sales and Marketing. These roles placed her across both people operations and leadership support, giving her experience in the administrative, compliance and organisational structures that sit behind luxury hospitality delivery.
Earlier in her career, Persico held office management, executive support and operational leadership positions with organisations across technology, media, manufacturing and energy. Her previous employers include DoveConviene, now part of ShopFully International Group, Canadian Solar, OpenKnowledge, Facebook, Yahoo!, Editrice Giochi and RCS MediaGroup. She also gained international experience through roles with Kopron S.p.A., Odebrecht and Wärtsilä Brasil.
That cross-sector background is relevant to the new role. Human resources leadership in luxury hospitality increasingly requires more than traditional hotel HR experience. It demands operational understanding, executive coordination, compliance discipline, employee relations capability and the ability to support teams across different cultural and organisational contexts.
For Aman, those capabilities matter because the brand’s proposition depends heavily on people. Aman’s properties are known for privacy, restraint, destination-led design and highly personalised service. The company describes its people as being at the heart of its success, with a culture centred on care, creativity, authenticity, compassion and wholehearted service. Translating that philosophy into daily operational behaviour requires strong HR leadership at property and regional levels.
Aman’s portfolio spans 36 luxury resorts, hotels and private residences across 20 countries. The group has also continued to extend its world beyond traditional hotel stays, with residences, wellness, experiences and lifestyle offerings forming part of a wider brand ecosystem. As luxury hospitality becomes more experience-led, the HR function becomes increasingly important in sustaining consistency across highly individual properties.
Persico’s appointment comes at a time when ultra-luxury operators are placing greater emphasis on talent development, employee experience and service culture. The guest experience in this segment is not built through scale or process alone. It depends on teams that can read guests intuitively, operate with discretion, collaborate across departments and maintain standards without making service feel mechanical.
This creates a different kind of HR challenge. Recruitment and retention remain important, but so do training, wellbeing, leadership alignment, workplace trust and the ability to preserve a strong culture across teams working in remote, seasonal or destination-led environments. In such settings, HR leaders must support both the employee experience and the operational discipline required to deliver luxury service consistently.
Persico’s background across HR management, employee relations, workplace operations, compliance, executive support and organisational administration gives her a broad foundation for this work. Her experience with Belmond also adds direct exposure to luxury hospitality environments where brand heritage, service detail and destination identity play a central role.
The appointment signals Aman’s continued investment in people leadership as it grows its luxury hospitality platform. For a brand built on privacy, calm and highly personalised service, human resources is not a back-office function. It is part of how the guest experience is created, protected and repeated.
For Persico, the move to Aman represents a senior HR role within a company whose operating philosophy places exceptional service and culture at the centre of its identity. Her task will be to support the people systems, workplace practices and team culture that allow that philosophy to translate into everyday hospitality.
