Remington Hospitality has appointed Nick Clark as Vice President of Operations, effective January 2026. Based in Denver, Colorado, Clark assumes responsibility for the operational performance, profitability and strategic direction of a multi-asset hotel portfolio across several US markets.
Clark brings more than 25 years of experience in hospitality management, with a career spanning luxury, lifestyle and full-service hotel operations. His appointment strengthens Remington’s senior operations team at a time when the Dallas-headquartered company is expanding its footprint and investing in leadership talent across its growing portfolio of 135 hotels.
From openings to oversight
Clark joins Remington from Highgate, the New York-based hospitality investment and management company that operates more than 400 properties comprising over 79,000 rooms across North America, Europe, the Caribbean and Latin America. During a tenure spanning more than six years at Highgate, Clark rose through progressively senior roles – from General Manager in New York and Las Vegas to Area Managing Director and, most recently, Vice President of Operations overseeing a diversified portfolio across the Central and Western United States.
Before Highgate, Clark served as Dual General Manager at White Lodging Services from 2016 to 2018. He began building his operational foundation at AZUL Hospitality Group, the San Diego-based management platform specialising in lifestyle hotels, resort and destination properties. Over six years at AZUL – from 2010 to 2016 – he held roles including Opening General Manager and Corporate Director of Operations, gaining hands-on experience in pre-opening management, brand positioning and multi-property oversight.
A company in transformation
Clark’s arrival comes during a period of significant leadership renewal at Remington Hospitality. Founded in 1968 and owned by Ashford Inc., the company appointed Ben Perelmuter as Chief Executive Officer in June 2025, following his tenure as President and COO at TPG Hotels & Resorts. Jason Kreul joined as Chief Operating Officer in August 2025, bringing over 30 years of hospitality leadership experience from executive roles at First Hospitality, Highgate and White Lodging. Cory Chambers was named Chief Commercial Officer the same month.
The reshaped C-suite reflects Remington’s ambition to accelerate growth and elevate operational standards across its expanding portfolio. The company currently manages hotels across 27 states and Washington, D.C., operating under 33 brands – including 16 independent and boutique properties – with nearly $1.2 billion in revenue under management.
Expanding into luxury and new markets
Remington has been steadily broadening its reach, both geographically and in terms of market segment. In January 2026, the company marked the debut of Cameo Beverly Hills under Hilton’s LXR Hotels & Resorts collection – a 138-room luxury property owned by Braemar Hotels & Resorts that underwent a complete transformation. The company also assumed management of the 415-room Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile in 2025, further bolstering its luxury credentials.
Beyond the US mainland, Remington’s portfolio has expanded into the Caribbean and Latin America with properties including Croc’s Resort & Casino and Moxy San José Airport in Costa Rica, Hotel Miramar in Puerto Rico, and Kimpton Mas Olas in Mexico. The company has signalled ambitions to potentially double in size over the next five years.
Clark’s deep experience in managing complex, multi-market hotel portfolios – developed across organisations with both branded and independent assets – positions him to contribute to this growth strategy. His background in luxury and lifestyle operations at Highgate, combined with his pre-opening expertise from AZUL Hospitality Group, aligns with Remington’s expanding presence in upscale segments and its emphasis on delivering strong returns for hotel owners and stakeholders.
