Regent Seven Seas Cruises has appointed Wesley D’Silva as President, effective 2 March 2026. D’Silva is an internal appointment – a 16-year veteran of the brand who has risen through the ranks from financial analyst to the line’s most senior leadership position, bringing with him a deep command of the commercial and revenue disciplines that underpin ultra-luxury cruise operations.
D’Silva joined the line in 2010 when it operated under Prestige Cruise Holdings, beginning his career as a Senior Financial Analyst before progressing through a series of finance and planning roles including Finance Manager and Finance Director for Sales & Marketing Planning. In 2016 he moved into revenue management, serving first as Vice President and then as Senior Vice President, Revenue Management – a function he led and expanded for nearly a decade. In March 2025, he was appointed Chief Commercial Officer, bringing Regent’s sales, marketing and revenue management divisions under unified leadership and reporting directly to Jason Montague, the Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings executive overseeing both Regent and Oceania Cruises as Chief Luxury Officer. D’Silva holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Miami, graduating Summa cum Laude.
His ascent to the presidency comes at a pivotal moment for the brand. Regent Seven Seas Cruises operates a fleet of six ships – Seven Seas Explorer, Seven Seas Grandeur, Seven Seas Mariner, Seven Seas Navigator, Seven Seas Splendor and Seven Seas Voyager – visiting more than 550 destinations worldwide, with all-suite, all-balcony accommodation and some of the highest guest-to-space ratios in the cruise industry. The line positions itself as the world’s leading ultra-luxury cruise brand, offering a fully inclusive model that encompasses shore excursions, dining, beverages, butler service and, on many itineraries, flights.
D’Silva assumes the presidency at the outset of the most significant period of fleet investment in the brand’s history. Seven Seas Prestige – the first vessel in Regent’s entirely new Prestige Class and the line’s first new ship series in a decade – is under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, Italy, and is scheduled for delivery in late 2026. At 77,000 gross tonnes and accommodating 822 guests, the ship is 40 per cent larger than previous Regent vessels but carries only 10 per cent more guests, preserving the spaciousness that defines the brand. Its flagship accommodation – the 8,794-square-foot Skyview Regent Suite – has been announced as the largest all-inclusive ultra-luxury suite in cruise history, with fares starting at $25,000 per night. Two further Prestige-Class ships are confirmed, with deliveries scheduled for 2030 and 2033. The line’s existing fleet is simultaneously being refreshed, with multi-million-dollar refurbishments of Seven Seas Mariner and Seven Seas Voyager completed and under way respectively.
The launch debut of Seven Seas Prestige recorded the strongest single booking day in Regent’s company history – a commercial result that reflects the depth of demand D’Silva will be expected to sustain and build upon. His background in revenue management and commercial strategy positions him directly for that challenge, giving him an understanding of guest acquisition, yield optimisation and travel partner relationships that is unusual at a brand president level.
“I’m thrilled to be returning home to New Zealand and stepping into this role at such an exciting time for Regent,” D’Silva said. “Now it’s time to get to work – to build on our strong foundation and continue raising the Regent standard as we shape the next chapter of ultra-luxury travel.”
