Meet the Hilton AI Planner: Hilton’s new digital concierge bringing conversational travel planning to hilton.com

Hilton has unveiled the Hilton AI Planner, a generative AI-powered digital concierge now in beta testing at hilton.com. The tool lets travellers plan hotel stays through natural, conversational language, making it simpler and more intuitive to explore everything Hilton has to offer.

The announcement, made on 10 March 2026, confirms a full public rollout to all hilton.com visitors on 17 March 2026.

How it works

Rather than working through traditional search filters, guests can simply describe what they are looking for. A traveller might ask for a family-friendly beach destination, a city break with great food and culture, or a hotel close to a specific event.

The Hilton AI Planner responds in real time with curated property suggestions and follow-up questions to help narrow things down. It walks guests through destination ideas, property comparisons and amenity exploration, all within a single conversation on hilton.com. Desktop and tablet users can access it via the Locations page, where a prompt invites them to try the AI Stay Planner.

Built on a track record of digital innovation

This is not Hilton’s first move in the digital space. The company has previously introduced Digital Key, one of the most widely available mobile room access solutions in the industry, alongside Connected Room and the industry-first Confirmed Connecting Room.

The Hilton AI Planner adds a new dimension to that legacy. Michael Leidinger, senior vice president and chief information officer at Hilton, put it plainly: “For decades, Hilton has been at the forefront of hospitality innovation. The launch of the Hilton AI Planner marks another step forward in our journey to reimagine the travel experience for Hilton guests. This is just the beginning and a preview of where we’re going.”

A thoughtful, test-and-learn rollout

Hilton is starting small and building from there. The tool is initially available to a limited pool of site traffic before opening to all visitors from 17 March. Real guest behaviours, direct feedback and emerging usage patterns will shape how the Hilton AI Planner develops over time.

It is an approach that reflects something genuine: Hilton’s commitment to making sure new technology actually works well for guests, not just on paper. Guest usability and value are the stated priorities guiding how the tool evolves.

Scale that makes personalisation meaningful

The Hilton AI Planner draws on one of the most extensive portfolios in hospitality: more than 9,100 hotels, 26 brands and properties across 143 countries. For travellers, that means the tool can surface options ranging from luxury resorts to extended-stay accommodation, all through a single, easy conversation.

As the beta phase generates real-world insights, the tool will grow in sophistication, getting better at anticipating what guests are looking for and delivering recommendations that feel genuinely personalised.

What it means for travellers

The Hilton AI Planner speaks to something most travellers already feel: planning a trip should not feel like filling out a form. The conversational format is designed to make the whole process feel less like a search and more like talking to someone who knows Hilton inside out.

With full access opening on 17 March 2026, it is an exciting moment for the brand and for the guests it serves. The Hilton AI Planner is, as Leidinger said, just the beginning.
