51 IHG luxury and lifestyle hotels recognised in 2026 MICHELIN Key selection
IHG Hotels & Resorts has 51 luxury and lifestyle properties recognised in the 2026 MICHELIN Key selection across Six Senses, Regent, InterContinental and Kimpton.

Properties across Six Senses, InterContinental, Regent and Kimpton have received MICHELIN Keys in the 2026 global selection, including a first Key for Six Senses London and a Two-Key upgrade for Six Senses Zighy Bay.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has secured 51 MICHELIN Key recognitions across its Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio in the 2026 global selection, spanning properties under the Six Senses, InterContinental, Regent and Kimpton brands.
The results provide another endorsement for a part of IHG’s portfolio that has become increasingly important to the group’s global growth strategy.
Among the notable additions is Six Senses London, which received its first MICHELIN Key following its opening earlier this year. The property is Six Senses’ first hotel in the UK and one of the brand’s newest urban properties.
Six Senses Zighy Bay in Oman was elevated to a Two MICHELIN Key distinction, while Six Senses Douro Valley and Six Senses Samui were also listed with Two Keys. Other Six Senses properties recognised include hotels in the Maldives, Japan, Grenada, India, Türkiye, Vietnam, China and Bhutan.
InterContinental also recorded recognition across a geographically broad portfolio, including properties in Australia, Bulgaria, Romania, Uzbekistan, China, Taiwan, France, Japan, Vietnam and Thailand.
The awards also included four Regent properties, alongside further recognition for Kimpton hotels, demonstrating the spread of IHG’s luxury and lifestyle offering across both established and newer destinations.
MICHELIN introduced its hotel Key system as an accommodation equivalent to its restaurant distinctions. In the 2026 global selection, inspectors awarded 155 Three-Key hotels, 657 Two-Key hotels and 2,020 One-Key hotels worldwide. Nearly 500 hotels received a Key for the first time, while more than 80 were upgraded.
The system evaluates hotels on factors including architecture and interior design, quality and consistency of service, personality and character, value and the contribution a property makes to the guest experience in its particular location.
For IHG, the recognition comes as its Luxury & Lifestyle division continues to expand.
The company says the portfolio now comprises more than 600 hotels worldwide across six brands, including Six Senses, Regent, InterContinental, Kimpton, Vignette Collection and Hotel Indigo.
That scale has grown steadily. Earlier in 2026, IHG reported close to 600 Luxury & Lifestyle properties across more than 80 countries, supported by continued expansion through new openings, conversions and development agreements.
Tom Rowntree, Vice President, Luxury & Lifestyle Brands at IHG Hotels & Resorts, said the MICHELIN distinctions reflect the work of hotel teams across the portfolio and highlighted the recognition of newer openings such as Six Senses London.
The 2026 results also illustrate a broader shift in luxury hospitality.
International hotel groups are increasingly building portfolios that span destination resorts, wellness retreats, heritage properties and urban lifestyle hotels rather than relying on a single definition of luxury.
For IHG, having 51 properties included in the MICHELIN Key selection gives the group third-party validation across several of those formats and across four distinct brands.
As Luxury & Lifestyle becomes a larger part of IHG’s global pipeline, maintaining that differentiation across a rapidly expanding estate will be just as important as adding new properties.
