Novotel Bhopal has opened with 118 rooms, adding a new Accor address for business travel, family stays and events in the capital of Madhya Pradesh. The hotel combines accommodation with dining, a rooftop swimming pool, fitness facilities and meeting spaces.

The opening was reported by Hotel Management Network on 12 October 2026, which described the property as Novotel’s first in the state. Accor’s live hotel listing confirms the operating inventory and facilities. Neither source specifies an exact first day of trading.

Novotel Bhopal brings rooms and events together

Located in Bawadia Kalan, the nine-floor hotel has 17 connecting rooms and one room for guests with reduced mobility, according to Accor. All 118 rooms are listed as non-smoking. The accommodation mix includes rooms and suites, giving the property several options for individual travellers and families.

The official listing identifies four meeting rooms, with the largest measuring 391 square metres. It gives a maximum seated capacity of 195 and the same maximum banquet capacity. A ballroom can be divided into two sections, with a pre-function area supporting receptions and guest movement.

Hotel Management Network reports approximately 13,553 square feet of total event space. That broader figure and Accor’s largest-room measurement describe different aspects of the offer and should not be treated as interchangeable capacities.

Dining reaches beyond the overnight stay

Accor lists Food Exchange as the hotel’s restaurant, with 108 covers and chef Arjun Thakur leading the kitchen. Its breakfast offer combines international dishes with local Bhopal specialities. The property also has an InBalance fitness centre.

In its opening report, Hotel Management Network describes Gourmet Bar as an all-day option for drinks and informal meals, alongside a separate bar pairing Awadhi cuisine with craft cocktails. The range gives the hotel several ways to serve local diners as well as resident guests.

The brand’s everyday wellbeing approach

The opening comes as Novotel develops Longevity Everyday, its brand philosophy organised around eating, sleeping, movement and social connection. Novotel describes an approach based on manageable daily habits, with more plant-forward food, improved rest and accessible opportunities to be active.

That positioning provides context for Novotel Bhopal’s combination of dining, leisure facilities and event spaces, bringing the brand’s everyday wellbeing approach into a city hotel serving both business and leisure guests.

Current inventory replaces the earlier forecast

Accor’s earlier preview of its 2026 openings described Novotel Bhopal as a 105-room project expected in early 2026. Its current booking page now lists 118 rooms. The operating figure is the relevant one for the opening; the material reviewed does not explain the change in inventory or provide a revised opening-day chronology.

The current specifications establish the scale of the new property: 118 rooms alongside meeting facilities for business and social events. Together, these functions extend Novotel Bhopal’s offer beyond overnight accommodation.

WINC Wire has also covered Novotel’s planned expansion at Sydney’s Castle Hill and the skills demands accompanying India’s hotel growth. Bhopal adds another operating property to that wider conversation about delivering new hotel supply and the service needed to support it.
