Melissa Green promoted to Regional Vice President, Operations at Davidson Hospitality Group
Melissa Green has been promoted to Regional Vice President, Operations at Davidson Hospitality Group, moving up from leading The Davenport Hotel Collection in Spokane.

Davidson Hospitality Group has promoted Melissa Green to Regional Vice President, Operations, according to an announcement on PR Newswire dated 7 October 2026.
Melissa Green’s new remit
In the role, Green is responsible for driving performance and results across a portfolio of full-service hotels and resorts. She moves up from Vice President and Area Managing Director of The Davenport Hotel Collection, which comprises five hotels in downtown Spokane, Washington.
Jason Reader, Chief Operating Officer of Davidson Hospitality Group, said: “We are proud to recognize Melissa with a well-deserved promotion as her hospitality career flourishes at Davidson.” The company noted that Green was among the first people chosen to launch its inaugural GM Council.
Career background
At Davenport, Green launched the first annual Pacific Northwest Food & Wine Festival in Spokane. Before that she was Area General Manager of Hyatt Regency Boston/Cambridge and Hotel Viking, and Hyatt Hotels Corporation recognised the leadership team with its Franchise Leadership Team of the Year award for Full-Service in North America. The Spokane Journal of Business has also named her one of its 25 People of Influence.
According to a Spokane Journal of Business profile, she began her hospitality career in catering and banquets, then worked for Marriott International and White Lodging Services Corp. before joining Davidson in March 2021. She holds a B.S. in Food & Beverage Management from Johnson & Wales.
Company context
Davidson Hospitality Group operates 90 hotels and resorts, more than 240 restaurants, bars and lounges, and 1.4 million square feet of meeting space across the United States, Europe and the Caribbean. It is a preferred operator for Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Kimpton, Margaritaville and Nobu. WINC Wire recently covered another senior move at the company, when it promoted Steve Keck within people and culture.
Why the Melissa Green promotion matters
Regional operations roles sit between property general managers and the executive team, and they are central to consistency across large portfolios. Other groups have made similar moves, such as Auberge Collection promoting Evan Altman and Trailborn appointing Paul Eckert as chief operations officer.
Davidson did not say which hotels will make up Green’s regional portfolio, nor when the change takes effect.
