Vienna House by Wyndham has opened a 104-room hotel in Frankfurt’s Sachsenhausen district, bringing an existing property into its lifestyle portfolio and setting out plans to expand the hotel to 139 rooms and suites by the end of 2027.

The Wyndham announcement, datelined Germany, 5 October 2026, confirms that Vienna House by Wyndham Frankfurt South is operating under the brand. The building was converted from offices into a hotel in 2019, making this latest opening a brand conversion with further investment planned.

Inside Vienna House by Wyndham Frankfurt South

The property combines rooms, suites and loft-style accommodation with The Blasky restaurant, a rooftop bar, seven meeting rooms and new fitness and sauna facilities. Its location south of the Main River positions it for visitors to Frankfurt’s financial district, cultural attractions and airport.

The restaurant offers regional à la carte dishes, sharing options and a daily breakfast buffet. A lobby mini market and parking for cars and bicycles complete the facilities described in the announcement.

The hotel’s official listing is live on Wyndham’s booking platform. Guests can earn and redeem points through Wyndham Rewards, adding the group’s loyalty programme to the property’s existing restaurant and accommodation offer.

Expansion programme targets the end of 2027

Wyndham says approximately 700 square metres of previously unused space is being redeveloped to enlarge the lobby and meeting areas. The programme also includes improvements to the outdoor garden and 35 additional rooms by the end of 2027.

The existing seven meeting rooms can accommodate gatherings of up to 200 guests. One space, Palmengarten, takes its name from Frankfurt’s botanical garden and connects a planted interior to an adjoining terrace.

The development timetable applies to the additional rooms. The hotel’s current inventory is 104 rooms, and the announcement does not specify a separate day on which the property began trading under its new brand.

What the partners said

Dimitris Manikis, President EMEA at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, described Frankfurt as “a city that brings people, ideas and opportunities together”. He said the opening combines the hotel’s local identity with Wyndham’s distribution network and loyalty programme.

Tim Lichtenberg, the hotel’s Managing Director, said the aim is to connect the guest experience with the building’s history. Historic photographs, original plans and archive material feature across the property, alongside travel photography contributed by team members.

An existing hotel joins a wider network

For hospitality operators, the project illustrates how a brand conversion can pair an established property with a broader commercial network while retaining local features. Here, meeting facilities, food and beverage and wellness sit alongside the rooms business, with further capacity still to come.

The Frankfurt addition follows Vienna House’s entry into Vietnam through Vienna House by Wyndham Charm Long Hai. Wyndham has also signed the 100-room Vienna House Easy Vrindavan in India, which is expected to open in 2029.

The new hotel joins Wyndham’s existing presence in the Frankfurt Rhine-Main region, including Wyndham Frankfurt Niederrad, Aspire Frankfurt Airport, Trademark Collection by Wyndham, and Dolce by Wyndham Bad Nauheim.

The opening comes as Wyndham broadens its lifestyle offer through initiatives including Dolce Nova. In Frankfurt, WINC Wire has also covered Taj’s conversion of the Hessischer Hof. For Frankfurt South, the next milestone is delivery of the announced expansion by the end of 2027.
