Treasure Island TI Las Vegas has officially opened under Accor’s Handwritten Collection, marking Accor’s debut in Las Vegas and adding one of the Strip’s most recognisable casino-resort assets to the group’s global brand network.
The 2,884-room property becomes the largest hotel in Accor’s worldwide network and the second Handwritten Collection address in the United States, following Hotel Stratford San Francisco. The hotel is now operating as Treasure Island TI Las Vegas Hotel, Handwritten Collection, with Accor bringing the property into its distribution, brand support and loyalty ecosystem.
The move is significant because it gives Accor a major physical presence in one of the world’s most competitive hospitality and entertainment markets. Las Vegas is not simply another urban destination. It is a high-volume, high-visibility market where hotels compete across rooms, gaming, entertainment, food and beverage, meetings, shopping and leisure experiences. For Accor, entering the city through an established Strip resort provides immediate scale rather than a gradual market entry.
Located at 3300 Las Vegas Boulevard South, Treasure Island sits directly on the Las Vegas Strip and is connected by walkways to Fashion Show Las Vegas and the Grand Canal Shoppes. The property also provides access to major retail, dining, entertainment and convention demand generators, making location one of its strongest strategic advantages.
Treasure Island retains the identity that has shaped the resort for more than three decades. Inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island, the property continues to draw on its adventure-led theme, including full-scale replicas of 17th-century pirate ships anchored in the Sirens’ Cove lagoon at the resort entrance.
That continuity matters for Handwritten Collection. The brand is built around independent hotels with individual character, rather than properties that are meant to look and feel uniform. In this case, Accor is not replacing Treasure Island’s identity. It is placing the resort inside a global commercial platform while preserving the distinctive narrative that already makes the hotel recognisable.
The hotel’s facilities reflect the scale of the asset. Treasure Island TI Las Vegas Hotel, Handwritten Collection includes a 24-hour casino, sports betting area, tropical outdoor pool, spa and salon, showroom theatre, game room, shops, entertainment spaces and meeting and convention facilities. Its dining venues include Phil’s Steak House, Gilley’s BBQ, Golden Circle Sports Bar, Pho, The Coffee Shop, Pizzeria Francesco’s and Malena’s Yogurt Plus, along with two Starbucks outlets.
Accor’s own listing also points to the breadth of the meeting offer, with 14 meeting rooms, a largest room of more than 14,000 square feet and a theatre-style capacity of up to 1,110 seats. This strengthens the property’s relevance not only for leisure travellers, but also for conventions, meetings, events and group business.
Mauro Rial, Chief Operating Officer for North and Hispanic Americas at Accor, described the hotel as a milestone for Accor in the Americas. He said the property would retain the character and identity that have shaped its story while joining Accor’s hospitality ecosystem.
The commercial logic is clear. Treasure Island gains access to Accor’s global distribution and brand network, while Accor gains a large, well-known Las Vegas resort with an established operating platform. The property also gives ALL Accor members and global Accor customers a new Las Vegas option within the group’s portfolio, although Accor’s current hotel page notes that the property is not participating in Accor Live Limitless points earning or redemption at this stage.
The partnership also reflects a broader trend in hotel branding. Large global groups are increasingly using soft brands and collection brands to bring independent or distinctive properties into their systems without forcing full conversion into a standardised brand model. For owners, this can preserve property identity while adding distribution strength. For hotel groups, it allows quicker expansion in markets where new-build development or full brand conversion may be slower or less practical.
In Las Vegas, that model is particularly relevant. Many of the city’s major properties already have strong individual identities, histories and commercial ecosystems. A rigid brand conversion could weaken rather than strengthen such an asset. Handwritten Collection gives Accor a more flexible way to enter the market while allowing Treasure Island to remain recognisably itself.
The opening follows Accor’s 2025 signing announcement with businessman and casino owner Phil Ruffin, under which the property was to operate through a franchise agreement with Accor. At the time, Accor said the hotel had recently undergone a multi-million-dollar refresh and highlighted features such as free valet and self-parking, diverse dining and lounge venues, spa and salon facilities, event spaces, gaming and entertainment.
The property has also been awarded Four Green Globes certification by the Green Building Initiative, reflecting improvements in areas such as energy and water efficiency, air quality and resource management. For a large Las Vegas resort, such measures are increasingly relevant as sustainability expectations become more visible across meetings, corporate travel and leisure segments.
For Accor, Treasure Island’s entry into Handwritten Collection does more than add room count. It gives the group a flagship-scale presence in a destination where brand visibility, loyalty access and distribution reach can matter globally. For Treasure Island, the move offers a route into a broader international customer base while keeping the resort’s own name, story and Strip identity intact.
The test will now be execution. A soft-brand affiliation can provide reach, but the guest experience still depends on operations, service quality, property upkeep and how well the brand partnership translates into real booking value.
With Treasure Island now open under Handwritten Collection, Accor has chosen a high-profile route into Las Vegas: not a quiet debut, but one of the Strip’s best-known resort names placed inside its global network.
