IHCL signs 215-key Gateway Lucknow hotel
IHCL’s planned 215-key Gateway hotel in Gomti Nagar will include more than 8,000 sq ft of banqueting space. An opening date has not been announced.

IHCL has signed a Gateway Lucknow hotel with 215 keys in Gomti Nagar, partnering with Kripanidhi Hospitality on a greenfield development.
The company’s announcement outlines two restaurants, a bar, spa, gym and pool, alongside more than 8,000 sq ft of banqueting space, pre-function areas and conference facilities. It does not give an opening date or investment value.
Gateway Lucknow hotel adds to the development pipeline
IHCL puts its Uttar Pradesh portfolio at 64 hotels, including 27 under development. Those figures describe operating and planned properties together. They should not be read as 64 hotels already welcoming guests.
The signing adds another full-service proposition in a market where the group has recently expanded its luxury presence.
A broader presence in Gomti Nagar
IHCL’s separate announcement for Taj Palace, Lucknow describes an operating hotel with 181 keys in the same Gomti Nagar district. That property introduced The Chambers business club to Uttar Pradesh, alongside banqueting facilities, restaurants and a rooftop pool.
Taj Palace’s dining offer includes House of Ming, Machan, the Bistrot café and the Shadow & Oak bar. Its facilities illustrate the group’s existing emphasis on business, social occasions and food and beverage in the city.
Gateway’s own brand platform also highlights meetings, conferences, weddings and celebrations, alongside regional food and local experiences. Its membership offer includes a corporate-travel programme as well as leisure and dining benefits.
For the proposed Lucknow property, the substantial event provision makes banquet operations and local sales particularly relevant parts of the future business mix. The immediate news is a signed development agreement; the delivery timetable remains to be announced.
