Job Description
As the WHS subject matter expert, you will:
- Lead and continuously improve WHS & Injury Management frameworks aligned to legislation and industry best practice
- Drive a proactive safety culture focused on prevention, education and accountability
- Oversee incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Manage injury management and return-to-work programs in collaboration with insurers and medical providers
- Plan and deliver WHS audits and support regulatory compliance activities
- Provide high-quality WHS reporting and insights to senior leaders and the Board
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of WHS Officers nationally
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, regulators and industry bodies
About you
You’re a confident WHS leader with strong technical expertise and the ability to influence at all levels. You bring:
- 8+ years’ experience in WHS, including leadership of WHS teams
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, workers compensation and return-to-work frameworks
- Proven experience in incident investigation, audits and risk management
- Excellent communication, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience working across complex, multi-site or labour hire environments
- A relevant tertiary qualification in WHS or a related discipline
- Willingness to travel interstate and regionally as required
