Job Description
As HRBP, you’ll work closely with senior leaders and their management teams to align business strategy with the HR people agenda. You’ll act as a trusted advisor, coach, and change agent, ensuring that global people solutions meet local business needs. Your responsibilities include:
- Strategic partnering: Collaborate with business leaders to apply the COO people strategy and build strategic workforce plans that support execution.
- Annual people processes: Lead and support performance reviews, succession planning, talent reviews, engagement action planning, and promotion & compensation processes.
- Leadership development: Develop and coach future leaders using global talent programs and tools (e.g., Hogan, Spencer Stuart).
- Diversity & Inclusion: Drive D&I initiatives for your business areas, aligned with ING’s global strategy, and embed vitality and wellbeing in our ways of working.
- Change management: Act as a change agent during business transformations and represent the voice of employees in decision-making.
- Sensitive advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor on complex and sensitive HR matters.
- Global collaboration: Work closely with Global COO HRBPs to ensure alignment and balance between global and local needs.
- Talent strategy: Contribute to attracting, retaining, and recognizing key talent.
- Feedback loop: Provide business insights to HR experts to improve or create people solutions.
- Special projects: Opportunity to take on a point-of-contact role in areas such as learning, data, vitality, leadership, or engagement within the HRBP NL team.

To thrive in this role, you bring:
- A Master’s degree in HR or Business and at least 7 years of HRBP experience in an international setting.
- Strong business acumen and consultation skills to translate business needs into effective people solutions.
- Knowledge of local employment legislation and regulations.
- Practical experience implementing significant change initiatives, including coaching and team facilitation.
- Affinity with numbers and data, and the ability to leverage analytics for strategic decisions.
- Proven expertise in handling reward-related topics.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and challenge business leaders.
- Deep understanding of the HR service delivery model (Ulrich model) and collaboration across HR functions.
- Strong communication skills in Dutch and English, both written and verbal, with storytelling abilities.
