Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resource Advisor to join our team and support all aspects of HR and people management. In this role, you will play a key part in recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, policy management, and supporting workforce development — ensuring that our team remains our greatest asset as we expand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage recruitment and staffing processes: arranging job vacancy advertising, screening, interviewing, testing, and selection of candidates.
  • Maintain personnel records and HR information systems; manage documentation related to employment conditions, leave, promotions, etc.
  • Provide advice and support to management and staff on workplace policies and employment conditions, including performance management, grievances, and workplace relations.
  • Develop, implement, and review HR policies, procedures, and compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
  • Oversee induction, onboarding and orientation of new hires; support training and development initiatives.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture and support employee engagement, retention, and professional growth.

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in HR advisory, generalist or similar roles — ideally in a transport, logistics or operations-heavy environment (advantageous).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to liaise with management and staff at all levels.
  • Good organisational ability, attention to detail, and capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Integrity and discretion when handling confidential employee information.
  • Practical knowledge of HR legislation, workplace relations, policies, and compliance requirements (or willingness to learn).
